Meant to begin soon the Family Allowance will reach about 1.25 million mothers around the fifteenth of this month. Total value exceeds twenty million dollars with monthly payments expected thereafter. The funds aim to improve child health clothing education and even start savings accounts benefiting Canadian children.
Local residents and relatives travel between Brandon Winnipeg Vancouver Regina and Ontario while several families host guests. Notable mentions include Capt Berwick and wife arriving from England to Regina, J Stowe and W G Boulton visiting Calgary, and Mrs J Ewing with family from Ameaster Ontario.
