Birtle Presbyterial Meeting Highlights 1969 Changes
The Birtle Presbyterial Executive met at Foxwarren on June 23 discussing the 1969 Conference theme Change and or Stability in the Global Village. Delegates noted broad participation, poverty concerns prompting a Metis scholarship fund and a study period on poverty starting Lent 1970. Delegates heard from Catholic and Lutheran speakers on global inequities and dignity, and a Be in mass media event at Knox United Church. The next meeting aims for Sept 8 at Minnedosa with plans for a fall Bible dialogue and a revised church closing rule.
