The Board announces the birth of Nancy Patricia to Mr. and Mrs S. J. Finkbeiner in Brandon General Hospital. The infant was born on Sunday January 21st in Cardale.
A quiet wedding united Dorothy Margaret Leland and Ordinary Seaman Clayton Thomas Currie on Thursday January 18 at Sparling United Church. Rev G A McMillan performed the ceremony. attendants included Isla Leland and Glen E McConnell. A reception followed at The Blackstone Oo. the couple returned to Miniota after the ceremony and the groom will join his ship in Halifax.
Gloria Bunn daughter of Mr and Mrs Jared Bunn of the Birdtail Indian Reserve died Monday at home aged 17 She recently returned from Dynemor San at Selkirk She is survived by her parents one sister three brothers all at home and a brother in a German prisoner of war camp The funeral was held Wednesday with the service in the Reserve church and burial in the Indian cemetery
