The Birdtail River School Division No 38 Board of Trustees met in Shoal Lake on January 17 1968 at 8 pm. Present were trustees Fulton Selby Randell Rapley and Lewecky with Superintendent Wm C Davison. Items discussed included Manitoba Association of School Trustees matters Income Tax on indemnities conference notes on education trends salary negotiations and school district asset transfers and related matters.

Miniota Village Ratepayers Annual Meeting Minutes
Ratepayers met Monday January 15 at 2:00 pm in the Community Centre. Receipts for 1966 totaled 4721.59 with expenditures of 3670.30 led by street lights repairs and calcium chloride. Tender accepted for sidewalk repairs at 65 cents per square foot for 2930 square feet. Damages from heavy equipment to private sidewalks to be charged to owners. Cemetery revenue 675.00 with expenses 426.13. W A Barrett elected for three year term 68 69 70. New business includes securing estimates for a trailer court on north side of curling rink. Committee: C. E. W. Ierington, W A Barrett, Strachan. Actions include minutes from Shoal Lake meeting read and adopted, conference attendance at Saskatoon in 1988, correcting school minutes via editors, correspondence with Birdtail River Association, and office space needs for Birdtail River School. Meeting adjourned.
