Church calendar shows Palmerston hosts three services this Sunday. Evening service at 7:40 p.m. follows a 3 p.m. worship session and a 1 p.m. Sunday solves gathering.
Severe weather forces postponement of the Young People's Bonspiel. The United Church annual meeting moves to the church basement on Monday January 28 at 8 p.m.
Miss Edith Leland visits Decker before heading to Winnipeg to take a new position. The Girls Bridge Club met at Mr and Mrs P Leam's home with prizes to Miss V Paulson and J Roway and consolations to Miss E Ti McLenehan and W Fotheringham. The United church Young People's Society met in the church basement with a missionary in charge and held a ping pong tournament followed by lunch and Mizpah Benediction.
A whist drive and dance at Miniota school aims to raise funds to cover open air rink costs and current expenses. Town meeting discussed a connecting highway between No 1 and 4 with a committee to approach Rural Council. Anglican Y P A notes include a social with Mr Henderson, Horner's Orchestra, and best wishes for Miss E Gardham as she moves to Winnipeg. The next Y P A gathering is set for January 30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A J Leland.
