Agricultural Extension Centre Brandon hosts a two day Sileage Seminar on February 26 and 27 with Dr. Henderson of Michigan billed as a top North American expert. Agenda copies available at the Ag Office Hamiota. attendance advised for farmers and agri-professionals.
The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 convened its regular board meeting February 13 1975 at 8 p.m. with trustees Butcher Waddells Huberdean Tolton Lewycky Armitage Shier Choptuik Kreager and Fallon present. Motions approved include January minutes, correspondence and budgets, personnel salaries, a 189.29 payment to Moody Moore & Associates, and bylaw readings to sell former Isabella and Edgehill properties. Adjournment set for February 20 1975 at Crandall.
A Seven Regions Health Centre group toured Hamiota District Health Centre on January 31 concluding with study sessions on local delivery problems. February events included Miss Lorna Smith discussing diabetes and blindness and Dr. M Roberts reviewing orthopedic care and fracture management in a peer review session.
Dr Allyson and Mary Gunson and Jason of Deloraine visited their grandfather Mr John Gunson last Sunday. Mrs Whyte and Mrs Steen of Pope called on Friday afternoon. Harvey Hyndman of Virden and Rev McNeill of Oak River called on Mrs Bardwell this week. Mrs Arnold and Mrs Lakatos of Winnipeg visited their mother Mrs J Cowling over the weekend. Mrs L Shaw of Brandon spent a few days with Mrs D Sutherland and to attend her birthday party.
The WI met at Mrs. Les Leland's home with 11 members Feb 10. Valentine exchanges raised funds from the Municipal Bonspiel totaled 78.96. An invitation and guest speaker from Isabella WI were noted for March 5. A $10 donation supported Kathy Bonner's Carnival Queen bid. A sunburst quilt was shown in a Handy Craft display.
