On Wednesday February 2 at 2 30 the Municipal Hall hosts the annual ratepayers meeting of Miniota Village. Important business includes election of Committeemen and other matters that may be brought before the gathering.
Lloyd Horner returns from Flanders Ontario while Andy Grant takes delivery of a Chevrolet truck from G E Withe. Bishop of Brandon visits Holy Trinity parish drawing a full house, and local ads promote Shirriff jelly powders Shamrock lard and Thriftee laundry soap with Sugar Crisp Corn Flakes from United Stores Limited Minlota.
A large gathering in Hamiota saw 165 signatories and delegates from many areas affected by proposed abandonment of the Beulah Halliboro and Hamiota Miniota lines. J M George KC Deloraine outlined briefing methods for the Transport Board hearing and urged precise facts.
At an unincorporated Miniota district meeting it was proposed to fund the night watchman from rural council, village treasury, and business men.
