R M Oliver extended Legion membership. Bowles orchestra provided music. Lloyd departed Thursday for training in Toronto after visiting home and friends.

Miniota W I Meeting Plans Salvage Crew Drive

Miniota W I met Thursday with 21 members chaired by Mrs. R K Chalmers. Mies H Tuck spoke on Arts with pictures displayed and a Red Cross report given by Mrs J D Forsyth. A library report by Mrs R M Oliver and a discussion on forming a Salvage corps led to future collection station plans and a whist drive to cover shipping charges. A meet next Wednesday at Mrs A Leams to assemble Afghan squares. lunch concluded.

St Valentine Whist Drive and Dance Draw Crowd

Bowles orchestra supplied music as the Miniota Open Air rink Committee reports a 3600 credit balance from the event. The Miniota WI endorses forming a Salvage Corps to collect waste paper and related materials for wartime use.
