Village Council Sets 1978 Plans in Hamiota Meeting
Hamiota Village Council held three special sessions in January 1978 with all members present. Resolutions covered minutes adoption, planning commission ties, fleet purchases, tenders for a used one ton truck, and adjournments. Regular meeting items included 1977 cash receipts, tax arrears decline, revenue projections, an Emergency Preparedness Seminar in Brandon, hydro rate changes, and schedules for 1978 meetings and funding to local boards. Additional actions authorized by law included indemnity for officials, ambulance grant pursuit, health district addendum approval, fundraising for the Manitoba Heart Foundation, and provisional 1978 estimates.
