Church Aflame Annual Meeting Notes at Hamiota Church
The Hamiota Pentecostal Church held its annual meeting on January 28 with Pastor Beck leading worship. Everett Gurr read the 1977 minutes, reports from Everett Gurr Audrey Gurr and Alice Russell showed increased offerings, and Sunday school attendance rose. Rodney Ulrich reported on the Sunday school progress and Young People group. Officers were elected: Carman Ulrich to the Church Board, Jac Thiessen as Sunday school superintendent, Gwen Taylor as assistant superintendent, Leona Beamish as district conference delegate, Derek Taylor as supervisory usher, Anne Davison as news correspondent, and Jac Thiessen as choir director. A building fund for a church manse was approved. Three members were assigned to organize monthly adult fellowship and recreation events.
