District Hospital Aid Meet HAMIOTA meeting notes
Hospital District No. 7A Ladies Aid met in the Community Room on Friday January 24 with seven districts represented. Treasurer reported ledger balance of 805.57 and year ending 1968 receipts 1836.68 expenses 1533.92. Jams and jellies vegetables and cash donations for the hospital pantry valued at 275.85. Cardiac Monitor arrived January 16 costing 4060.50 to aid quicker diagnosis. Open House for the new Senior Citizens home tentatively set for February 8 with Ladies Aid serving tea.

Manitoba transport minister warns power toboggan operators about snow fencing along roads. Shared fences with taut wires between sections may be invisible to riders and have caused fatal injuries in the U S. About 80 directors from five Manitoba Regional Development Corporations gathered at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg on January 9. Tom Kent, deputy minister of the new federal department of regional development, spoke. The meeting featured provincial ministers and resource leaders outlining regional policy topics as directors and staff from Pembina Valley West Man Central Plains Parkland East Man and northern boards shared ideas.
