Beulah Square Dance Sets Group for Co-op Concert
At Isabella on January 25 a Beulah set was chosen to attend the Co-op concert in Miniota. Members include Mr and Mrs J Coxworth, Mr and Mrs Attwood, Mr and Mrs F Reid, and Mr and Mrs Geddes. Pipestone Indians beat Birdtail 12 to 6 in Beulah Saturday night. Birdtail won 18 to 11 at Elphinstone Tuesday. Beulah High School Benspiel features 10 rinks from Miniota, Crandall, Isabella and Beulah this weekend.

Manitoba Government Opens First Civil Defense Orientation Course
Fifty candidates from 45 emergency areas across Manitoba will attend a five day course at Brandon’s agricultural school from January 29 to February 3. Albert Bentley heads the program with assistance from the Canadian Civil Defense College staff in Arnprior Ontario.

The R M of Miniota Council met January 11 1962 in the Municipal Hall with new members sworn in Reeve Hyndman presiding and all members present They approved December 22 1961 minutes and passed bylaw 1426 appointing 1962 officials The meeting formed road bridge and machinery committees and set ward road spending Along with routine grants repairs and indemnities the council authorized attendance at Prairie Flood Control Organization and allotted salaries for several staff and operators and approved payments and adjourned for February 6 1962
