Calvin Marklin, severely injured when a vehicle overturned injuring five, was moved from Brandon General to Deer Lodge hospital earlier this month. Fast driving cost him his right leg below the knee, with a second amputation expected once he regains strength. He served overseas in France during the last war. his aunt Mrs. L Conway and Myrtle visit regularly from Kincerdine Ontario.
Voters defined as day Resident Ratepayers of Miniota Municipality owning 80 acres or more and their wives decide on the Hospital Area By-law. Polls run from nine in the morning to five in the afternoon. Passage requires a 65 percent yes tally across the four municipalities involved.
