Local notes report celebration of John Deere's first steel plow centennial with a special exhibit. The John Deece Co presents four talking pictures at Miniota Hall, admission free with ticket, and Christmas railroad fares offer special Canada wide deals via CPR from December 23 to January 3 with various return limits.
A school program drew a large audience with recitations and varied acts. Irene Hartin, Dorothy W., Betty Vradenburg, and others performed dances, choirs, and plays under Jr. Henderson as chairman and Miss Gladys Henderson as accompanist.
A rural council meeting in Municipal Hall with all members present approves a 300 grant to the Red Cross Society and 325 to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. It authorizes telephone rent charges to the General Account and grants 100 to Reeve Lynch for services.
