Hamiota Village Council Minutes December 12 1978
The twelfth regular meeting held December 12, 1978, Deputy Mayor presided with all members except Mayor McLaren. Reports covered November receipts of 27 504.63, a Christmas dance profit of 149.38 aiding the Community Centre, Hydro’s street light rate increase to 11.55 percent by Feb 1 1979, and possible Gay pool maintenance seminars in 1979. Resolutions adopted include adopting prior minutes, By-Laws 9 and 10 1978, continuing the insecticide program, purchasing tax sale Lot 6 Block 1 Plan T at 85.79, complying with Human Rights legislation, allocating 500 to the Rolling Dale branch, accepting Art Oakden’s resignation as Swimming Pool Chairman, appointing committee representatives, approving accounts, and adjourning at 11 p.m.
