A Christmas program and tree will be held at Miniota Hall on Tuesday December 22 at 8 15 pm. Proceeds go to The Milk for Britain Fund with adult admission 25 cents. A dance sponsored by Miniota High School Kyles Orchestra follows for 25 cents. Women’s Missionary Society Elects New Officers
The W M S met at Mrs. T Long’s home and elected officers led by President Mrs. G Reynolds and vice presidents Mrs. J Stowe and Mrs J Cradenburgh. Secretary is Mrs R K Chalmers and treasurer Mrs A Spalding with assistant secretary Mrs A MecKinnon. Rollins organized the Study Book on the city church and workers. Interest grows in Minunta skating rink this winter. current curling rocks are missing and rink is unusable. Suggestions urge pool funds be redirected to install a saltable rink for youth and winter sports programs.

United Church Social Planned and Subscription Policy Change
The meeting led by Gwen Lees and the land committee convenor voted to hold a social evening at the United Church parlor on Thursday December 29 and invite members to join. The Herald will move to a strictly paid in advance list with trailers dropped, while a special 75 cent annual rate is offered to troops on active service and must be paid when due. A complete subscription revamp will start January 1943 with renewal receipts required after the 15th of the following month.
