Local and general news report a Tuesday nomination meeting in Minsota with strong public interest. The session approved past-year council and school-board actions, noted bridge delays, and announced candidates for Reeve J W Mitchell and R Peel, and ward council seats with minor changes to the school board by acclamation.
The December monthly meeting of the Miniota Local Association of the Manitoba Teachers Federation convened at Isabella School on Saturday. Present were Misses Anderson Stevenson Corbett Kellett Thompson Donnelly Cookson Bell and Messrs Bees Gow Beer to discuss professional matters. Mr Beer elected to represent the Local at the Annual Winnipeg Convention. Anderson of Isabel la and H J Beer of Beulah contributed a reading and a paper on Arithmetic. Tea was served at Mrs Kennedy's home after adjournment.
