The annual meeting of Sarabbille School district was held Monday to review the auditor’s report and elect a trustee. W. E. Warren was re-elected treasurer. trustees were urged to aid local boy scout movement and plan a school library. J. L. Evans chaired, Dr. Chalmers secretary.
The Annual Christmas Tree and Entertainment will be held at the Presbyterian church in Arrow River on Thursday evening December 1. A silver collection will be taken. Come and enjoy an evening with the children.
The Two Creeks Cricket Club will hold its annual meeting and supper at Win Morton’s on Tuesday at 7 o’clock. Ross School District rate payers elected Morton trustee and F Collier to fill a vacancy. Community updates include teachers, dances, and local church anniversary events with remarks by Rev. G. F. McCullough on partnerships.
The Couracil election at the municipal hall filled vacancies with no opposition to nominations. Reeve David Gerrand and Councillors George Philips Ward 1 Willian Frazer Ward 4 and James W Robinson Ward 4 were declared elected by acclamation. Gerrand pledged herd law support and road reform while defending municipal actions and praising the telephone system.
