Mrs Reid Sr visited Ham iota last week. Horner left for a temporary position elsewhere. The United VP 3 will meet Wednesday night at 8:00 in the church basement. Miniote United Sunday school to hold its annual Christmas tree event Friday December 21 at 8 p.m. in the church.

Canadian Pacific Railway advertises a cent a mile bargain trip to Beandon and Winnipeg departing December 11 and returning December 15. A Friday play in Miniots, The Antics of Andrew, drew laughter though lengthy with strong performances. A Revellers dance followed with about 160 attendees.
A quiet ceremony on November 20 at Crandall Parsonage united Mary Olive Ellen Padfield with Edward Lewis of Crandall. Rev H H Kippen officiated. The bride wore blue krinkle crepe with lace and was given in marriage by her father. A wedding breakfast followed at the bride’s home. The couple will reside in Crandall.
The Scipal School District No. 149 requests driving bids for 1935. Details available from Trustees or Secretary Treasurer John Spalding. Applications must reach the secretary by 8 p m on December 15.
A Miniota board meeting reviewed minutes including attendance and inspector reports. They approved multiple transportation rate changes and holiday closures, with adjustments for Arrow River, Palmerston, Beulah, Wynona, Isabella, and others, plus a 9:30 start and 12 to 1 noon recess from December 3.

The pupils of Miniota School present their annual Christmas concert in Miniota Hall on Friday December 14 at 8:30 p.m. A dance follows the concert with admission 35 cents. school children admitted free.
A meeting for those interested in building a new Lackey skating rink will be held at Municipal Hall on Monday at 7 p.m. The notice urges broad attendance as a good meeting is expected.

Crandall J. Rudd visited Winniper last week. J Murdock departed to take over the Inglis Hotel. On Saturday the W M S held a sale of home cooking and silver tea raising about $14. The Y P S met Tuesday in the church parlor for a social evening with an address by Rev H Kippen.
The 8 act play Plain Sister will be presented by the Cran dal VP in the Orange Hall on Friday December 1st. Musical selections between acts and admission prices 0c for adults 20c for children.
A public meeting Friday debated Orange Hall rental policy for community gatherings. A committee was formed to interview the Orange Lodge about purchasing the hall.
The Parent-Teacher Association reorganized on Thursday night and elected officers: President S Lewis, vice-president G Angas, secretary Miss Schmidt. Rev VT Barnett of Hamiota spoke on The Relation of Parents to the Teacher and the Teacher to the Pupil. A social time followed.
Mr and Mrs J A Fraser left to spend the winter in Sacramento California. Haugh Bassey broke this leg when he fell from a boxcar while setting a brake. The Hodgett Firm challenged any two firms in town to a game of curling. Losers to donate ten dollars to Winnipeg General Hospital. Winners in the Pool Tournament were Watts and H H N McDonald with consolation Spalding and Bonner.
