Miniota School Board Sets 1963 64 Bus and Pay Plans
Miniota School Board met August 8 1963 at the Municipal Office with most members present. They adopted June minutes approved enrolment figures and hear reports. They authorized a two year bus contract for Ray Asselstine for Beulah pupils and approved teaching contracts for Helen Chuba and other staff with new and re employed pay rates. Joseph Henry Collyer 79 of Crandall died August 7 in Winnipeg General Hospital following a July 13 hip fracture from a fall. He moved to Crandall in 1911, served as caretaker of Crandall Central School 1920 to 1957, and was an longtime church usher. Survived by sons Cecil of Calgary and Ward of Brandon and grandsons Donald and Kenneth. Funeral August 9 at Crandall United Church with Rev. Bowins officiating. Burial in Crandall Cemetery.
