United Stores announces extra heavy Jumbo Sweaters in all sizes at 2.95 each. Miss Elsie Cilerman is under medical treatment in Virden Hospital and is improving. The C P R roundhouse was purchased by D Cannon and is being dismantled for lumber to be used in stables and buildings. An amended Pension Act passed by parliament is to become operative soon. Carman reports apathy in school affairs as nominations fail to appear. vacancy to be filled by the board. Rev J Ao Stenteoms and Rev McLeneghan visited Chicago for the Century of Progress exhibition.
The School Board met in Min ioc on Tuesday of last week. They discussed transportation rates for several schools, a high school financial report, and the appointment of an Attendance Officer. The next meeting is set for Minnesota on September 5 at 2 p.m.
