Spencer dies after prolonged illness in Miniota
Miniota mourns as Joseph Spencer known as Joe passes after a month long illness bronchial pneumonia traced to years of poor health. Born in Worksop England he came to Canada in 1912 later joining his brothers in a Miniota butcher business. Survived by wife Lillian two sons Albert and Lloyd three daughters Marjorie Kathlen Metba five brothers and three sisters. Funeral held at Holy Trinity Church with Canon Finch officiating and burial in Miniota cemetery.
