London Aug 20 The Rev William Booth general and commander in chief of the Salvation Army died at his home at Mile End near London at 10 13 this morning after an eye operation and septic complications. Booth born 1829 in Nottingham founded the Salvation Army in 1877 and led its global work. It is thought Branwell Booth may be named his successor.
The town will soon have an orchestra as several citizens can play instruments. Plans call for a complete instrument equipment this week while the band must balance from skilled players and those with the right teeth to blow holes in corners.
Agent Redford expects the new station at North Mini ota to be short complete and ready to occupy the premises about the first of next week.
