Jas Boyce took a motor trip to Calderat during the week. Rev and Mrs W P Mason visited Winnnipeg last week. The presentation by Fred Franklin and the Brandon Miniota rup train crew followed remarks. Mr Birch thanked all for their esteem since 1911.
Miss N Cruikshanks of Chicago visits Mr and Mrs L Dorward. Miss Gladys Evans of Winnipeg visits friends and relatives. Miss K Levins of Deloraine visits Dr Hodnets. Robin Pildrem of St James visits sister Mrs W P Mason at The Rectory. Miss L Leland spends two weeks holiday with friends and relatives.
Mr and Mrs A J Lebond visited their daughter Mrs Bec ker at Calder Saskatchewan last week Rebt Lang who has been visiting in the district left on Monday for his home at Lethbridge.
Mrs R Hawthorne returned last week from Chicago where she visited her daughter Mrs Dr Suguen.
R. Hawthorne came back on Wednesday from Wawanesa where he visited his daughter Mrs. RB. McKibbon.
Mr and Mrs H M McDonald and son Russell of Saskatoon visit district friends and relatives. Miss H Bally and William son who spent two weeks in town returned to Winnipeg on Saturday.
Dr Conway, now holidaying at his home, will depart this week for St Paul Minnesota to resume his duties at the University there. The Holy Trinity Sunday School annual picnic was held at Hoopers Lake on Wednesday with fine weather, a large crowd, bathing, and various games enjoyed in the afternoon.
Thieves broke into W Yarwoods on Thursday night through a back window and took cigarettes money chocolate perfume a fapor and other items. Adjoining sheds were damaged but not entered. Local robberies rise in small towns as wanderers roam seeking food and money.
On a Saturday afternoon the Canadian Pacific Railway staff held a surprise party for Mr Birch who retires in May. The group joined him at the engine and presented a handsome rocker arm chair as a keepsake, marking the occasion for years to come.
