A July 30 Russell gathering of about 30 Soldier Settlers and wives, with Mr. Sawyer of Foxwarren as speaker, discussed settlement difficulties and passed a unanimous resolution. The executive committee named includes Sawyer, Harrison, Bailey, and Whitmer. Also covered are trips by local Charioteers to Vancouver and the States, painted van, and the slogan Vancouver to Miniota or Bust.
