Mrs Hogeland and her son Jack of Brandon are visiting at the Wal Bonner home. The 1939 electors list for Miniota shows 1135 residents and 77 non residents, up 3 names from last year.

Roy Leland presented a leather suitcase and an autograph album was started for signees. Irene Hartin and Irene Taylor performed a piano duet before a dainty lunch closed the evening.

Hi. G. L. Strange argues weeds reduce yields by about 25 percent by consuming moisture. With plenty of rain this year, prairie farmers can clear vast weed quantities through light cultivation after harvest, letting winter kill many plants and treating spring crops. He warns not to cultivate wild oat too early.
