Plants Moving to Canada Amidst $300 Million Invested
Governor Foss argues American industry shifts to Canada due to tariff barriers. He cites estimates of 279 million to 500 million dollars in American capital across Canadian plants, with major firms like General Electric and Westinghouse establishing operations. Foss urges reciprocal trade and tariff changes to keep businesses from relocating, noting Canada’s rapid growth and its appeal to American manufacturers and workers.
