Birdteil River School Division Holds Regular Board Meeting

The Birdteil River School Division No 38 met on June 25 at Shoal Lake with trustees Stimpson Selby Fulton Reynolds Rapley Rankin and guests M S Anastasis and Sister Mary of St Agnes. Motions approved minutes from June 12, approved correspondence, orders for lockertes and desks, paid seminar expenses, accepted resignations of Sister Anastasia and Sister Agnes, passed financial statement 6/64, formed a mower committee, named Les Stimpson acting secretary, adjourned to call of the chair.

Miniota Girl Wins Canadian National Exhibition Scholarship

Miss Joan Leland, a Miniota 4 H clothing club member and junior leader, won the $600 CNE scholarship for Manitoba 4 H members. The award recognizes academics, club record and leadership. she plans study in home economics at the University of Manitoba and will attend the Toronto CNE as a guest.

Miss Donna Bryant Feted at Bridal Shower
