Miniota hosts annual Municipal Decoration Day at the Community Centre with the Canadian Legion. Piper Sandra Heise led the veterans parade while Rev. Robert A Kayes spoke on honoring fallen and ill veterans. The day also celebrated John and Jean Wiens 25th anniversary with gifts, songs, a pot luck meal, and a veterans’ luncheon served by the Arrow River W I.

W I Women Hold July Meeting and 50th Anniversary Items
Six W I members met Friday evening July 7 to clear Arrow River Hall then held a brief business session. Roll call praised the 50th celebration. Minutes from June and a business session were read. Members attended Hospital Aid Supper in Lenore. A bouquet rested at Miniota cenotaph. Community Center laid linoleum at Arrow River Hall. commemorative cushion covers for 50th anniversary offered in town store.
