Five truck types with varied capacities, bases, weights, tires and prices from 322.31 to 875.06, all four wheel drive and right hand drive. Application forms available through provincial agricultural representatives with August 15 submission deadline and selection by drawing.

The Miniota W M S hosted a social and tea for Mothers and Babies with 18 babies enrolled in a new Baby Band led by Mrs K A Moyer. Miniota Sewing Group won top honors at Hamiota Fair with May Sparks leading the display. optometrist Harry L Trump will visit Birtle for eye exams. The town’s sports picnic raised 353.08 for the New Rink fund, and locals C E Wythe and H Meyers families moved to Victoria B C and Brandon respectively. Herman Hill remains in Brandon hospital after a wagon accident. Ted Rowan recovers from a binder incident.
