Miniota Council Minutes April 14 1964 Meeting
The Miniota council met at the Municipal Office on April 14 1964 with Reeve H H S Hyndman presiding. They approved minutes from April 7 1964, discussed a special levy for railway abandonment, appointed J B Rowley as Assistant District Engineer, set ward mill rates at 9.5 and 2.5 mills, funded per capita grants to villages and hamlets, sought a rink loan, and passed bylaw 1463 discounting prepaid taxes and bylaw 1464 tax rates for 1964 before adjourning to April 17 1964.

Miniota Stitchers Hold Meeting and 10 Year Club Award
The Miniota Merry Stitchers opened with the 4H Pledge and O Canada. Cathy Hanlin led roll call with 28 members. Minutes and treasurer report were read and approved. Mrs. McKenzie won a Manitoba trip for 10 years in the club. Maureen W led the néeting and display planning for Achievement.

Festival Preview Sets Stage at Crandall Church
A Monday church event led by Mrs. Les Rudd featured pupil performances directed by Miss Jean Smith Miss Lorna White Miss Anne Shelvey and Mr L Wolowich with Mrs Herb Smith. Four choruses three speech choirs vocal and piano solos by a list of named students offered a varied program and praised by attendees.

Beulah church services set for 2 pm in Beulah during the summer months. Visitors include Mrs. Stewart of Neepawa and Arlene Lindenbach at her home. Beulah 4 H Achievement April 15 featured O Canada and the 4 H Pledge, with crests given to five girls. Carol Gow chaired, Judy Hookway read the club report, Coleen Steuart presented treasurer’s report and the girls sang April Showers and This Land is Your Land. Explorers fundraiser yielded $20.15 on April 24. Marean receiving medical treatment in Winnipeg.
