The Birdtail River Division Board approves the audited Financial Statement No. 3 1963 for payment and agrees to publish an abbreviated version for public perusal. It notes receipts and liabilities across Revenue, Capital, and Trust funds and records a balance of assets over liabilities of 55 834 16. The board adjourns to meet again at 8 PM on April 9 1963.
Miniota community news notes Diane Williams attending a Junior Leaders 4H conference in Winnipeg. A run of visits includes Mr and Mrs Len Bryant at Snow Lake and a Winnipeg Easter week stay by Mrs Reynolds Sr Edna Reynolds and Mrs J Reynolds. A 40th anniversary for Mr and Mrs Stamford on April 9 and Easter events at Justice Manitoba.
The evening unit of the United Church Women met April 18 with the afternoon unit as guests. Eighteen attended including 13 members and 6 visitors. Mrs S Taylor conducted business, Mrs L Oliver led worship, and films on Korea and Taiwan were shown followed by a discussion. Winners of the April 16 Bingo at Miniota included Beverly Bryant and others. the Communists Centre cleared about $60. Beulah visit to see the Martin Luther film occurred. new members joined the United Church on April 21. New residents include the Baileys from Minnesota and Virden. local groups planned Mothers Day events and workshops in Dauphin.
The district recounts Easter visits to Sam Wallace's home in Miniota and gatherings at the homes of the O’Callaghans, Wiggins, Lelond, and Spence families. It notes travels to Winnipeg, Virden, and Moose Jaw for activities, plus a high school party at the Manse in Miniota. Viola Raeman wins four awards at Moose Jaw festival.
Isabella News notes Norman Harrison of Somer set vacationing at home. Winnipeg and Calgary visitors Mrs. J. Beer and Jas. Beer join Mrs. D. Harrison and family. Four new church members Kathy Clark Gail Clark Renee Stewart Doreen Sutherland welcomed. Church services start 9 a m from May 5 summer months. Mr and Mrs R E Heise entertain for wedding anniversary dinner with extended family.
The Beulah rink wind-up featured Bingo with many prize winners, a Square Dance Club jamboree, and a film night that boosted the gown fund by $30. Nearby visitors, hospital news, and Easter gatherings fill this community update. a death notice for Bernard M. Morgan is recorded.
In Crandall area events include a 49th wedding anniversary gathering for Mr. and Mrs. A Irvine with relatives visiting from Regina Hamiota Brandon and Minto among others. A separate Easter visit week saw families reunite at various homes and a W I meeting featured Miss Ermina Shier as guest speaker.
