Diocese division creates Brandon diocese in Manitoba
Announcement of the Manitoba diocese division establishes a new Brandon diocese effective June 15. Canon C P Jeffrey reports two Anglican bishops will serve, reducing Arch bishop Mathesons workload. A $75,000 endowment funds the new administration and synod reorganization meets June 10. An appointment of the new bishop is anticipated soon.

Mrs T H Stewart, a longtime community worker and parish leader born in Howick, died at 52 in Miniota district Manitoba after cancer. Funeral at Union church followed by interment in Miniota cemetery. she left a husband two sons Dave and Hugh, siblings and many local associations mourn.
