Council Amalgamation Favored by Mayurra and Mount Muirhead
The Times argues for merging Mayurra and Mount Muirhead councils, noting improving finances on both sides and long term gains from shared offices and a single staff. It contends economy, efficiency, and greater civic dignity would follow, outweighing the cost of a broader unification.
