Faithful Fox Terrier Guards Murder Victim Grave
An inquest in Melbourne heard a fox terrier stay beside Henry Kacick after he shot himself on December 29 and resisted entry to the discovered body for two days. The dog, attached to an engaged young woman, showed sorrow and guarded her, even biting when approached. The testimony included coworkers at the Vienna Cafe and Palace Hotel noting his drinking and plans to travel to North Coburg for shooting. The coroner reviewed a photograph with a sentimental inscription found in the deceased’s pocket.
