Ireland Home Rule Vote Dominates Commons Debate
In the British House of Commons a vote on Home Rule for Ireland ended 343 against and 65 in favor. The Adelaide and London firm D. & J. Fowler is floated into a company valued at £500,000 with £450,000 as purchase price. South Australian wheat will average about 64 bushels per acre totalling nearly ten million bushels with six and a half million exportable surplus. The Wesleyan Conference in Adelaide will campaign against the Citation Grant agitation. A large deputation to the Premier and an electors’ watch committee are planned for April.
