Dedication of the New Convent at Millicent
The Convent of Saint Frances of Padus at Millicent was blessed and dedicated on February 1. An excursion train brought about one hundred people from Mount Gambier and other stations, with around two hundred fifty present. Dean Ryan led the blessing of the Oratory, Convent, and School, and invited attendees to refreshments. He praised the new building as a credit to all who funded it and urged support for private Catholic schooling over state provision.
