Bev Reids Garage Nears Opening At Centre Street

Bev Reid moves his new garage and service station toward completion at the corner of Tupper and Centre Streets. Block work and cement floor are done Esso sign up oil tanks buried flowing well ready for service and fill around site. He hopes to move in next month and present a modern up-to-date facility with a lighthearted note about a barn dance.

Brownies met on Wednesday September 10 with 24 attendees including 7 new members. Mrs Campbell displayed a shoulder shawl she made from squares the group knit as a test. Joyce Fallis, a two year old girl, wandered from her Fallis Line home last Thursday evening. Neighbors and villagers joined a long search and found her about 1144 hours later near the Belch farm, a mile west. Her father was overjoyed, and the Fallis family thanks all who helped.
