Rabies outbreaks in Ontario show limited livestock loss

Ottawa reports rabies persists in Ontario with wildlife chiefly affected. Official Opening Sept 5 of Huge St Lawrence Power Project

The St. Lawrence Power Project will be officially opened on Friday September 5 in ceremonies with officials from Canada and the United States. Prime Minister of Ontario Leslie Frost and New York Governor W Averell Harriman will jointly start generators in the two powerhouses, marking the culmination of decades of planning and four years of construction. International amity will frame the event with brief speeches by notable leaders including former New York Governor Thomas Dewey and Vermont Governor Joseph Johnson.
