A prince helps a sick woman in a tenement, donating money for medicines and food after a doctor prescribes care. The scene unfolds with a child delivering provisions and gratitude from the distressed mother, while a nurse-like doctor later confirms the stranger’s generous act.
An 1865 Carlsbad encounter is recalled where a pale twelve year old girl asks aid for her sick mother. The crown prince, Frederick III, responds gently and asks what the child is sending him to beg. The girl explains her mother’s illness and pleads for help.
