Year of Elections and Civic Duty Urged in County
A reflective editorial urges renewed ambition and prudent voting as the year brings parliamentary elections. It notes general prosperity, warns against rash課ent actions, and stresses cautious judgment of parties and policies as the present parliament nears the end of its term.
Adapting to Changing Farm Prices and Wages
The year may be hopeful if not bright as low farm prices allow greater purchasing power. Wheat, butter, tea, sugar, cotton, and cloth remain attainable, while livestock and other farm output still meet essential needs. The mechanic’s wage buys ample food and goods, enabling adaptation to new markets and reducing fear of want.
