Frederick Lyman Elliott of Cavan Township died in Peterboro on Monday August 13 1962 after a six week illness and was buried at Fraserville Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Snowden officiating. Pallbearers were Harold Tait Alex MacNaughton Stewart McGill Grant Clarke Jack Matchett Clarence Laing. An ICOF service was held at Comstock Funeral Home. He was son of Thomas and Mary Laing Elliott and lifelong farmer. His brother Bruce Elliott resides on the family homestead. He was predeceased by brothers Bert Lorne Payson and sisters Essie and Mary. A member of Springville United Church he held a 25-year jewel in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Millbrook Lodge.

Harry Wood 66 of RR 3 Norwood died in Peterboro hospital on August 19 1962 and was buried at Little Lake Cemetery Tuesday. Rev Stanley Snowden of Millbrook Branch 402 RC Legion led the service with pallbearers Russell Smith George Hodden Albert Parks Norman Eales David Fowler Garfield Bottrill and bugler Cecil Gallagher of Peterboro Citizens Band. Born in Charlton England to Frank and Selina Kirkland Wood he came to Canada 50 years ago and served in World War I with the 2nd Battalion. A member of Branch 402 Millbrook RC Legion he was an adherent of the United Church. He entered Sunnybrook Hospital in May and had previously lived with Chris Petersen.
