The block at Milibrook changed ownership and use over decades. The Dry Goods business declined after a private bank was opened and later sold to Ontario Bank. The Post Office moved sites during wars, with offices above banks and a developing trail of lawyers and merchants. The MacDowells acquired the block in 1950, using the former bank as offices, store, bowling alley, and apartment. Milibrook is now a private hospital run by Mr. and Mrs. Cutmore.
