The Fraserville L O L No 46 records the death of Bro David Smyth at a fieldwork site near his home. He is praised as tall, strong, genial, a loving husband and father, loyal Orangeman, patriotic citizen, and faithful son, with concluding exhortations to readiness. The community offers deep sympathy to his wife, child, and elderly mother.

Under Rev Ben Oliel, the AYPA reports its strongest year, aiding church finances and boosting youth involvement. Guests included Rural Dean and Mrs Allen, Rev Grubb, church wardens, and families. The evening featured toasts to The King, The Church, AYPA, Our Parish, Our Guests, and The Ladies, plus songs and a debut male quartet. The event closed with Auld Lang Syne and thanks conveyed by the president.
Fraserville May 18 1908 officers and members of L O L No 46 express heartfelt sympathy to Mrs Thos Smyth wife Mrs David Smyth and Mildred Smyth on the death of the late David Smyth. They note his 26 years of Christian service and bid God grant comfort and strength. Signed on behalf of the Lodge.

Events include Millbrook vs Peterboro lacrosse, walking races, youth contests, and a four lap Town Hall race at 7 pm with band concerts in the Town Hall. Rev Joseph Hamilton s to preach at Presbyterian church next Sunday in pastor’s absence.
obituary notes Rev Richard Homan Hart died at Swansea on May 8 1908 after education in Rosscarberry and Trinity College Toronto where he earned arts and theology degrees. He taught in Upper Canada and supported Bishop Strachan's school network. He leaves two daughters with later marriage to Coulter and a sister Mrs Notter and brother Rev J Ris. A May 25 concert by the Ladies' Aid of the Methodist church is announced and a local wallpaper sale is advertised.
