The late Matilda Petch Read, aged 88, widow of architect Robert Read, died in Toronto on Feb 15. Born in Toronto in 1826, she lived in Millbrook and Cavan before moving to the city in 1882. She leaves one son, Robt Read of Toronto, and was a devout Methodist. funeral at Gardiner's Cemetery with services led by Rev. G K Clare. The procession included relatives from Toronto, Ashburnham, Bailieboro, and others. pallbearers named Col Sutton and others.
