Important News for Texas.—The New York Conner and Enquirer says: We are informed by Dr. Macaulay, of Baltimore, who has returned to the United States in the Great Western, that at the very moment of his leaving London for Bristol he learned from a source that can entirely he relied on, that on the night previous to his departure Lord Palmerston and Gen. Hamilton, the Plenipotentiary for Texas, agreed and concluded upon the projet of a treaty recognising on the part of Great Britain the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Texas ; the treaty likewise provides effectively for the mediation el England in procuring an immediate pacification between Texas and Mexico, and for the establishment of a well-defined boundary line between the two Republics.I he treaty would have come out in the Great AN estern if sufficient time had been allowed after agreeing to the preliminaries to have engrossed and executed it. It was generally thought in London, if General Hamilton procured the recognition of England, leading as it would to a promptpacification between Mexico and Texas, the negotiation of the loan by himself and Mr. Burney would be quite certain as soon as the apprehen-non of European war or revolution in France was dispelled, both of which continued to exert a verydepressing influence on the stock and moneymarkets. The conclusion of this important treaty with England had been effected solely by the diplomatic skill and ability which has been so em-menily displayed by General Hamilton on the pre-*mt occasion, and against the views of the aboli-tM'iusts of England, who are utterly opposed to it.\BaU.
