WITH THE DENTON CLUBS ______The Katie Daffan chapter V 1) C. met at the fire hall in monthly session Friday afternoon. Roll call was answered by “Attitude of Southern Leaders Toward Secession. Miss Sue Withers read a paper on “Origin of States’ Rights.” During the business session a committee from Sul Ross camp, composed of Messrs. Anderson. Robinson and Bates, visited the meeting to eopfer about the Confederate monumentthe chapter hopes to erect on the court bouse lawn. The Katie Daffan chapter has decided to give their time and efforts during 1910 to the erection of a Confederate monument for Denton county to commemorate the memory of the boys in gray who served from this county and also all i Southern patriots. Mrs. Banks and Miss Minnie Baseball were hostesses and after adjournment took the jmembers to Beyett's where dainty refreshments were served. The next meeting will be the Hist of Decern her.
