(Andy) Anderson of 1411 New York Avenue, is aboard the destroyer USS Rupertus now beginning her second tour of duty in Far Eastern waters, according to a release from Fleet Home Town News Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. The ship has been in the combat zone since 1950 and has taken part in Korean raiding parties, shore bombardments north of the 38th parallel, and has captured some Communist prisoners, states the release. Anderson joined the Navy on January 8, 1951.
