KILLED IN ACTIONs ______ _| Edward Miller With Canadian Army—Was Employed HereWord was received Saturday by George Mclnnes, Main St., that Private Edward Miller was killed In action in France, recently. Private Miller enlisted in the Canadian army in the second year of the war and was wounded, following which he was in a hospital in Scotland. His friends but recently received word that .he expected to return to the trenches as he had recovered and was again fit for service.He was the first from Maynard to enlist in the British forces. He was formerly employed In the weave room of the Assabet mills, made his home with the family of Wilson Cuttell, and was a member of Assabet lodge, I. O.' O. P., M. U., and of the Men’s club of St. George's church. «
