Veteran of Spanish-American and Philippine Ware Commends Him.Editor Post: Permit me, a veteran, of the Spanish-Amerlcan war and Philippine insurrection, to voice my approval of the action of my comrades- in again placing at the head of our local department Comrade Jere A. Costello, jand in reelecting him the “boys” have shown Just appreciation for his untiring work. Comrade CosteUo has worked h^rd and done much for the Spanish War Veterans in this location. Through hie personal efforts much legislation has been placed on the statute books beneficial to our “boys of * 1898.” During his past year of service, he spent much, of his time in laboring with ] members of Congress and the heads of the various departments in the interest of Spanish War •Veterans, and always worked in harmony with our beloved G. A. R. men in doing’ whatever he could in the interest of former soldiers, sailors, and marines, and I take this opportunity of publicly commending through The Post Comrade Jere A.
